Hubs requested pub grub so we paid a visit to our old favorite watering hole on Westfield Ave in Pennsauken. It's been too long, Bobby Ray's Pennsauken Tavern! It's basically the "Cheers" of Westfield Ave. Super chill and casual. Local and craft beers on tap and mixed drinks, too. Food is pretty good. I liked my Hawaiian chicken wrap with fries, and he like the panzerotti bites (forgot to take pix!). Sometimes you just need that neighborhood corner bar experience after a long work week. 👍 I bet they'll be really busy for the game tomorrow. We met up with friends tonight at @arkbrewery. First time there, didn't know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised. They are not a micro-brewery, they serve craft beers from other breweries. No biggie. Decent selection but very IPA heavy which doesn't really appeal to us. Thry had @yardsbrew Pale Ale which is good. The cocktails are fun and easy to drink. There's also wine. We shared apps... wings, pub pretzels, scoop fries, fried veggies, and "chicken balls" (deep fried pulled chicken). Very tasty. The perfect spot for socializing with friends. I just wished they turn down the lights. Kind of bright in there for a bar, but not a big deal. The live entertainment was fun. This happened today. I am so proud of this not-so-little-anymore group.

When I moved to South Jersey nearly 11 years ago, I had no idea what was here except for the Cherry Hill Mall and maybe the Pop Shop in Collingswood, but that's only because they were on the Food Network. Little did I know as I explored the area, I realized it has way more than chain restaurants. There are great mom & pop shops and now critically acclaimed restaurants.

It is an exciting and growing food scene, and I'm glad I can help shine a spotlight on it. It makes me happy to know that at least 27000+ others agree that South Jersey isn't all "Philly East" and North Jersey shouldn't get all the glory for the state.

A new Korean BBQ & Hot Pot restaurant will open at the Hartford Corners Shopping Center at 1320 Fairview Blvd in Delran, NJ. Home of ShopRite, Lowe’s, and many other stores. The 7,500 square feet restaurant will feature all-you-can-eat, grill-at-your-table Korean barbecue, and Chinese-style hot pot. This restaurant style has been lacking in South Jersey for a while now. I've been all around the world this week cuisine-wise. Tonight we chose delivery from Anise Vietnamese (600 Kings Highway N in Cherry Hill) and thoroughly enjoyed the Grilled Pork Vermicelli. The portion was huge, and one order could probably feed two people or have plenty of leftovers. The nước chấm is 😋. We also got the chicken wings, which were plump and juicy. The "Asian glaze" was sweet & sour. I think it had tamarind in it. Forgot to take a picture of them. Everything was tasty! Will absolutely order again. Another location is opening on Route 130 in Delran, where the Panera was (in the Target shopping center). I had to try M2O Burgers and Salads in the Cherry Hill Mall because I have a compulsion to try every burger and chicken sandwich in existence. Don't judge me! 😆 We initially tried in October (not long after it opened) but that was at the beginning of our Covid and our tastebuds were off. Wanted to give them another try. Not bad for fast-casual. They seem to be sort of smashburger style in that they are more on the well done side, which is typically not my favorite, but I didn't mind. Ingredients were fresh. I especially loved the pretzel bun option. Food court location is tough, though. They only have burgers, sandwiches, sides, and soda at this location unlike other locations which also have salads and milkshakes/smoothies. I guess they don't have them here as it would compete with other corporate food spots. I do like it better than Fatburger, also in the Mall but on the other side. Stopped by Dad's Deli in Marlton for lunch. I got the "mini" hot "Gerty" (corned beef, pastrami, Swiss, cole slaw, & 1000 Island) and he got the Texas Tommy/Hot Dog Special combo. Wow!!!
