UPDATE: Amma’s in Mount Laurel is set to open on Friday, February 21st!
Get ready for even more Indian Food, Mount Laurel.
Amma’s South Indian Cuisine, with critically acclaimed locations in Voorhees and Center City Philadelphia, is preparing to open at 7000 Midlantic Drive, in the same strip mall as Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, which has been its only tenant since Qdoba and Naf Naf Grill both closed.
Amma’s, a name synonymous with some of the best Indian food in South Jersey, is expanding its reach into Burlington County. With its recent to-go-only location at 2941 Route 73 in Maple Shade, the Mount Laurel restaurant will mark its fourth establishment. And there’s more to come, with a fifth in Newtown, PA, opening later in the summer.
Amma’s specializes in traditional South Indian food. Think food served on banana leaves, thalis (meals on platters), dosas (long savory crepes), biryanis, idlis (rice cakes), etc.
It will open sometime in August. Stay tuned for that!
