A new vendor is adding a sweet touch to the Columbus Farmers Market.
Anna Bell Market, a new Burlington County-based food tent specializing in fresh fruit cups and made-to-order crepes, has recently launched at the popular outdoor market.
For owner Kaitlyn Zdybel, the business represents more than just desserts. It is the realization of a long-held dream to work for herself while creating something that makes people happy.
“Sweet treats bring people joy,” she said. “I wanted to create something that felt a little less guilty.”
The 23-year-old entrepreneur graduated last year with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and always envisioned owning her own business. Anna Bell Market marks her first venture in the food industry, something she describes as both exciting and a major learning experience.
The concept blends healthier options with family tradition. Growing up, Kaitlyn enjoyed Polish crepes, known as naleśniki, which inspired the menu. Unlike heavier versions, the delicate crepes are light and airy and are prepared simply using a crepe maker and stovetop. Each order is made fresh for customers.
Alongside the crepes, Anna Bell Market offers colorful fresh fruit cups and sweet treats to share with friends and family.
The business is owned and operated solely by Kaitlyn, with family members lending a hand behind the scenes.
The name itself has a personal story. She explained that her mother originally wanted to name her Annabel. Since the family surname already ends in “bel,” they ultimately chose Kaitlyn, but the idea remained special enough to inspire the business name years later.
Anna Bell Market recently debuted at the Columbus Farmers Market, which currently serves as its home base. Customers can find the tent on Thursdays and Sundays, with appearances at festivals, events, and private gatherings throughout the summer and beyond.
For now, the focus is on growing the tent operation and creating memorable experiences for visitors. Looking ahead, Kaitlyn hopes the concept could eventually expand into a trailer or food truck.
More than anything, she hopes Anna Bell Market becomes a place where customers can slow down, enjoy something delicious, and spend quality time together.
“I want every customer to leave with a smile,” she said.
