Mount Holly is getting a new hot chicken option, as Asad’s Hot Chicken is preparing to open along the busy High Street corridor.
A “Coming Soon” sign for the popular halal hot chicken chain has appeared at 514 High Street in Mount Holly, taking over the former Boston Market location.
Asad’s Hot Chicken has been expanding rapidly throughout the region, growing from its original flagship location in Northeast Philadelphia into a multi-state chain. The Mount Holly restaurant will add another South Jersey location to the brand’s growing footprint.
The chain currently has 18 locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and other expanding markets, with several more locations in various stages of development.
South Jersey diners may already be familiar with Asad’s. The company currently has locations in Sicklerville, Cherry Hill, Burlington, and one opening very soon in Vineland.
Asad’s has built a loyal following around its halal Nashville-style hot chicken, offering several heat levels for customers ranging from those who prefer something mild to those looking for a serious kick.
The menu centers around hot chicken served in several forms, including chicken sliders and tenders, along with fries and other sides. Its relatively streamlined menu and fast-casual format have helped the concept expand quickly throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond.
The Mount Holly location is especially notable because it will bring new life to the former Boston Market property on High Street. Boston Market once had a sizable presence throughout South Jersey and the Philadelphia suburbs, but numerous locations have closed in recent years.
There is currently no official opening date posted for Asad’s Mount Holly location beyond the signage indicating that it is coming soon.
Asad’s Hot Chicken did not respond to a request for comment regarding the Mount Holly opening, so additional details about the restaurant’s timeline and anticipated opening date were not immediately available.
Still, with signage now installed at the property, Mount Holly residents can expect another fast-casual dining option to join High Street.
Stay tuned for additional information and an opening date as it becomes available.
