After long last, Asianfresh is opening its second location in Cherry Hill, with a soft opening set for Thursday, September 3, followed by a grand opening celebration on Saturday, September 12. Keep scrolling for a sneak peek inside!
The new Asian supermarket is located at 2005 Marlton Pike East along the Route 70 corridor, taking over the large space that was most recently home to Oskar Huber Furniture.
Asianfresh got its start in Philadelphia’s Chinatown, where its two-story market at 142 N. 10th Street has developed a following for its extensive selection of Asian groceries, fresh produce, seafood, meats, snacks and harder-to-find imported products. The original Philadelphia location opened in 2019.
The Cherry Hill store will bring that same international grocery experience across the bridge to South Jersey. Shoppers can expect products and ingredients from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and other Asian countries, along with seasonal and specialty produce. Fresh seafood and meat departments are also expected to be a significant part of the new market.
There are also plans for prepared foods. Similar to its Chinatown location, Asianfresh Cherry Hill is expected to feature a hot-food counter and self-service deli, giving shoppers another option for grabbing something ready to eat while picking up groceries.
