Atlantic City-Based Chef Wins on Guy’s Grocery Games

Chef Leslie Daniel from Kuro at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City recently appeared on Guy’s Grocery Games. Hosted by Guy Fieri, the show involved a unique challenge where Fieri’s son, Hunter, added six random, returned items into each contestant’s shopping cart, which they had to incorporate into their dishes. After impressing the judges over two rounds, Chef Daniel emerged as the winner, earning the opportunity to participate in a shopping spree within the store, successfully claiming a prize of $16,000.

Affectionately referred to as “Chef Too Hype” in the kitchen, Chef Daniel’s positive outlook and love for the culinary arts are contagious. Under his leadership, Kuro was recognized by USA Today as the No. 1 casino restaurant in 2020 and as a top hotel restaurant in 2022 and 2023.

The episode is available on demand and will air again on Wednesday, May 15, at 6 p.m. ET on the Food Network.
