After eight years on High Street, B-UNOS has officially closed its Burlington location, marking the end of an era for the beloved local eatery. They announced this on their Facebook page.
Owners reflected on the memories and challenges of running the restaurant, thanking the community for their support while acknowledging the emotional weight of closing the doors on their very first location.
“For many of you, we’ve been a part of your lives—from seeing me pregnant with my first son and working right up until the week before he was born, to sharing in both the ups and downs along the way,” the owners shared. “Closing this chapter brought tears, but also lessons we’ll carry forward forever.”
While some expressed disappointment online, the B-UNOS owners, Steve and Ree Capers, emphasized that they are not a corporate chain, but a small, local business deeply rooted in the community.
Looking ahead, B-UNOS is preparing for an exciting new chapter. The Burlington location will relocate to Willingboro, taking over the former 1911 Smokehouse space. The new restaurant is expected to open in October and will feature the same menu as Burlington, with dine-in, take-out, and drive-thru options, but will also offer a full-service bar.
“We are so excited to be part of the Willingboro community,” the owners said. “We can’t wait to serve you great food and hospitality in our new home.”
In the meantime, fans can still visit B-UNOS at its other two locations:
- 2043 Route 130, Florence, NJ
- 4 Mill Street, Mount Holly, NJ
No opening date for Willingboro yet, but trust we’ll let you know when we know!
Also, the Capers’ will open a new Raceway Bagels in Burlington, too. No date for that either.
