The curiosities are returning to the coast. After a decade of pushing the boundaries of craft beverage production, the visionaries behind the award-winning Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing Co. (formerly of Cherry Hill) announces their next chapter: Boardwalk Bandit Sandwich & Soda.
Located on Ocean Avenue in Bradley Beach, Boardwalk Bandit is a modern soda fountain grounded in turn-of-the-century roots. It represents a homecoming for the team, blending ten years of fermentation and craft beverage expertise with the nostalgic charm of the historic Jersey Shore boardwalk.
Owner Jamie Queli says “Forgotten Boardwalk is deeply intertwined in New Jersey folklore. Boardwalk Bandit will continue on with the whimsical charm that everyone knows and loves us for. There will be plenty of magic up our sleeves.”
While the stainless steel kettles of the brewery have paused, the innovation has not. Boardwalk Bandit leverages the team’s history of producing everything from craft beers, craft coffee, seltzers to ready to drink cocktails to create their own blend of handmade sodas. Sodas will be made from scratch, carbonated on site, and canned on demand for enjoyment. You can buy one or make a mix and match six pack to put in your cooler for the beach.
The beverage program features old fashion sodas and classic styles such as colas, authentic egg creams and of course, a Funnel Cake soda.
The kitchen is helmed by Forgotten Boardwalk’s original cranky cook & founder, Seth Dolled, bringing a high-caliber philosophy to casual seaside grab and go dining. The menu is headlined by his famous double smash burger, alongside a curated selection of creative sandwiches designed to celebrate New Jersey’s culinary identity.
Other Menu Highlights Include:
— The Jersey Tomato Sandwich: A tribute to local seasonal harvest.
— Bandit Hot Dog: served with peppers, onions and French fries inside pizza bread
Vegetarian Crab Cake Sandwich: A homemade plant-based take on a coastal classic
— Carousel Catch: A local fish sandwich with boardwalk flair.
“This isn’t just a new business; it’s the next chapter in our book,” says the Boardwalk Bandit team. “We spent ten years learning the soul of craft beverages. Now, we’re applying that knowledge to the soda fountain culture of the past, bringing ‘old fashioned’ back to the modern era. We missed our community, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the boardwalk.”
