Let’s be honest, finding a great dinner for two these days without spending close to $100 isn’t easy. That’s why we had to check out Bonefish Grill in Marlton’s Sunday-only Ocean Mixed Grill for Two.
At just $39.90, this seafood feast is perfect for two people and is easy on the wallet.
The meal starts with a choice of soup or salad for each diner. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic House Salad, Caesar Salad, Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad, Corn Chowder & Lump Crab Soup, or creamy Tomato Bisque, each diner gets to choose their own starter. I chose the Corn Chowder & Lump Crab Soup and he got the Tomato Bisque.

Then, instead of choosing just one entrée, you’ll share four seafood selections. The platter includes wood-grilled Shrimp with Chimichurri, Atlantic Salmon served two ways—one topped with Pan-Asian Sauce and the other with fresh Mango Salsa—and Pan-Seared Blackened Ahi Tuna finished with a rich Lemon Butter Sauce. Everything arrives perfectly portioned for sharing, making it an ideal date night meal or relaxed Sunday dinner for two.
You’ll also choose two signature sides to share. Options include Garlic Whipped Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Jasmine Rice, French Fries, or Coleslaw, with premium upgrades available if you’re looking to splurge just a little.
And don’t forget the complimentary bread that arrives at the table with both traditional herb-infused olive oil and regular oil for dipping. Don’t like oil? They’ll happily provide whipped butter. It’s a small touch, but one that makes the meal feel even more generous.
The Marlton location has also undergone a beautiful renovation, giving the restaurant a brighter, more coastal-inspired atmosphere. The updated dining room feels warm, inviting, and a little more intimate than before, making it an excellent choice for date nights, family dinners, or catching up with friends.
If you’re in the mood for cocktails, Bonefish Grill continues to impress. Their handcrafted drinks are consistently well-made, and the restaurant also offers one of the area’s better Social Hour (happy hour) menus every single day from 3:00 to 6:30, making it easy to stop in for drinks and appetizers.
The first cocktail I tried was the Coconut Crush, this is on the Social Hour menu for $7. It is made with two types of rum, coconut, pineapple, and orange juices served on the rocks. Not a pina colada at all, but similar in flavor profile. Very good. The other cocktail I tried was Tahitian Remedy, which was created by Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, the preeminent expert on tiki drinks, and whom I’m a very big fan of. I was happy to see he partnered with Bonefish Grill on this drink. As with most tiki drinks, the ingredients offer complexity and balanced flavor. Both drinks were well made.

One thing that keeps bringing guests back is the service. The Marlton team has built a reputation for being attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. It’s the kind of place where your drinks stay filled, your food arrives promptly, and you never feel rushed. Amy was our server and she provided excellent service. The team was also so very accommodating with my crazy fresh/raw garlic allergy. For example, some of the sauces already had garlic in them, so they served them on the side so it didn’t touch the seafood which prevented me from accidentally consuming it. Sigh.
With restaurant prices climbing almost everywhere, it’s refreshing to find a special that actually delivers on value. The Ocean Mixed Grill for Two isn’t just inexpensive—it’s genuinely satisfying, offering premium seafood, generous portions, and a comfortable dining experience at a great price.
The Angler’s Catch is also a new featured Sunday menu item pairing crispy cod and battered shrimp with seasoned fries, housemade coleslaw, and cocktail and tarter sauce, as either an opening course or additional entrée option. We didn’t try it, but it sounds like their version of fish and chips.
If you’re looking for an affordable Sunday date night, an easy dinner with friends, or simply a delicious seafood meal without breaking the bank, Bonefish Grill in Marlton deserves a spot on your list. This may just be one of the best Sunday dining bargains in South Jersey.
