Pastry chef and business owner Zena Demirceviren has once again taken the spotlight for her exceptional cheesecakes. On Friday, August 8, she competed in the New Jersey State Fair’s prestigious Best Cheesecake Contest, held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, entering three creations in three different categories.
Her talent impressed the judges, earning her first place in the Classic Cheesecake category, second place for Flavored Cake, and third place for Combo Cake. These awards add to Zena’s long list of accolades, built over years of creating crowd-pleasing, award-winning desserts.

The timing couldn’t be better—she is preparing to open By Zena, a European-inspired specialty bakery and patisserie, in the heart of downtown Moorestown. The café, located at 41 E. Main Street, will showcase her celebrated cheesecakes alongside an array of baked goods, pastries, and desserts, plus breakfast, lunch, and beverage options.
Once the doors open, customers can enjoy her pastries and discover why she now holds the title of Best Cheesecake in New Jersey. With her new café, she aims to make Moorestown a must-visit destination for cheesecake lovers and dessert enthusiasts alike.
