Capriotti’s in Marlton will open on Tuesday, August 26!
The long-awaited return of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop to the South Jersey market is imminently soon! Keep reading for the date.
Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop began in 1976 in Wilmington, Delaware. Since then it has steadily grown in the Mid-Atlantic region. And in recent years, it has blown up across the country due to offering franchises. As of July 2025, Capriotti’s has more than 175 company-owned and franchise locations in 33 states!
Once upon a time, a Capriotti’s did exist in South Jersey, along Haddonfield Road in Cherry Hill. It closed and became a Primo’s instead.
Capriotti’s is now making its triumphant return to South Jersey in The View at Marlton at 1053 Route 73, sandwiched between Banh Thai and a new Qdoba that I also just wrote about and will be opening fairly soon.
A rep from Capriotti’s corporate team has confirmed to me that the Marlton location will be opening on Tuesday, August 26th!
Many people all over the internet, including the SJFS Facebook group, have been excited for this opening! So this will come as very good news for fans and newbies alike.
Capriotti’s is known and well-liked for its hot and cold subs.
Among its best sellers are:
Capastrami Sandwich—loaded with hot pastrami, melty Swiss cheese, crunchy coleslaw, and zesty Russian dressing.
The Bobbie Sandwich—the ultimate Thanksgiving sandwich available year round that you can get HOT or COLD.
American Wagyu Cheesesteak—American Wagyu beef from Snake River Farms, white American cheese, mushrooms, and onions. Add hot peppers, if you like.

Of course, when I visited this morning it was closed, but I knew that the date had to be soon! I’m excited for my first Bobbie in years. I’ll be one of the first customers in line for sure!
A View from Evesham broke the news more than a year ago!
