Cava, a chain of fast-casual Mediterranean restaurants, opened today in Moorestown at East Gate Square (next to Moorestown Mall).
It replaces Zoe’s Kitchen in the same strip next to Firehouse Subs and Boston Market.
Cava purchased Zoe’s Kitchen a few years ago and has been converting some Zoe’s into Cava’s.
The restaurant, which got its start in Rockville, MD, is now up to over 100 locations featuring chef-created and chef-curated bowls, pita sandwiches, and salads inspired by Mediterranean fare.

You can select from a menu offering of pre-made options, or build-your-own starting with a base (greens, grains, pita), dips & spreads, protein, toppings, and dressings.
Bold flavors including spicy harissa, “crazy feta” (jalapeno-infused whipped feta), and skhug or zhug (the hot sauce of Middle Eastern countries) bring excitement to the menu.
Cava is a welcome, healthy and delicious addition to the South Jersey food scene.
