Bagel Beat: Chesterfield Bagel and Grill in Chesterfield Township

Chesterfield Township has a go-to destination for breakfast and lunch at Chesterfield Bagel and Grill, a family-owned business led by brothers Charlie Levach, 28, and Nick Levach, 20. The pair, who grew up in nearby Florence in Burlington County, officially opened the restaurant in August 2024 at The Residences at Old York Village.

The location was previously home to Mikey Bagels, but under the Levach brothers’ ownership, the space has been reimagined into a full-service bagel and grill concept designed to serve the rapidly growing community surrounding the new development.

Charlie and Nick are no strangers to the bagel business. They also own Hamilton Bagel and Grill, which they purchased in January 2019 alongside other family members, many of whom continue to work there. While Charlie spent several years working for Wawa and initially planned to attend law school, the pull of the family business proved stronger. What began as a leap of faith quickly turned into a long-term passion, and Charlie now sees his future firmly rooted in the bagel industry.

At Chesterfield Bagel and Grill, tradition is at the heart of the operation. Bagels are made the old-fashioned way—boiled and then baked in a revolving stone oven on wooden boards—resulting in the classic texture and flavor that bagel purists expect. The shop offers 25 bagel varieties, including specialty options, with jalapeño cheddar emerging as a standout favorite among customers.

The menu goes far beyond bagels with cream cheese. Guests will find an extensive selection of house-made pastries, donuts, and even scratch-made Pop-Tarts, alongside a wide range of breakfast sandwiches and lunch offerings. Creative sandwich combinations are available on bagels, bread, or wraps, complemented by more traditional breakfast plates like French toast and pancakes. A variety of flavored cream cheeses rounds out the bagel experience.

On the beverage side, Chesterfield Bagel and Grill serves smoothies, espresso drinks, coffee, and lattes, making it a one-stop morning café for commuters and families alike. Lunch options expand the menu further, featuring paninis, burgers, and cheesesteaks for those looking for a hearty midday meal.

The restaurant’s footprint reflects its ambition. At approximately 3,200 square feet, the space seats about 40 people indoors, making it larger than many traditional bagel shops. Situated within a brand-new shopping center, the business is positioned at the center of a neighborhood that is rapidly transforming from farmland into a suburban residential hub.

Adding to its convenience-focused approach, Chesterfield Bagel and Grill also features a small market-style amenity offering customers everyday essentials, including drinks, snacks, chips, gum, milk, eggs, and deli meats.

Currently open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Levach brothers are already looking toward the future. Long-term plans include extending hours into the evening and introducing comfort-food dinner options, hoagies, and more, further establishing the restaurant as an all-day neighborhood staple.

As Chesterfield Township continues to grow, Chesterfield Bagel and Grill is positioning itself as more than just a breakfast stop. Have you been to Chesterfield Bagel and Grill? Let us know in the comments!
