UPDATE: The truck will be open starting on Thursday, December 14th from 11 AM to 8 PM.
When Cockadoodle Dan’s closed in Palmyra and announced it would open in Moorestown, folks hoped it would be sooner rather than later. The beloved restaurant owned by Dan Walsh, known for its wings and cheesesteaks, has many loyal fans who have waited patiently, hungry for news about when the new shop would open.
A tentative target date of October was thrown out there for a possible opening, but October came and went with no news. In the meantime, Dan had popped up at breweries such as Dr. Brewlittle’s in Maple Shade and bars such as The Celtic Cross Tavern in Philadelphia, allowing his fans to still get their favorites.
Just this week, Dan announced that he has secured a food truck, which he plans to operate behind the Moorestown location at 75 East Main Street until the restaurant’s construction is complete. He said the food truck could serve food as early as the week after Thanksgiving, pending inspections.
So, that’s good news until the new brick-and-mortar opens. Stay tuned for that info, and look for a new website and Facebook page coming soon.
