Creekside Tavern in National Park Now Open

A new neighborhood hangout has arrived along the Delaware River as Creekside Tavern officially opens its doors in National Park, taking over the former Coconut Grove waterfront location. Early visitors are already praising the tavern for its affordable drinks, laid-back dive bar atmosphere, creative cocktails, and surprisingly strong food menu.

The menu leans heavily into classic tavern comfort food with a South Jersey bar-food approach. Cheesesteaks are front and center, including a traditional cheesesteak topped with fried onions, a pizza steak, and a chicken cheesesteak. Sandwich lovers will also find pulled pork, roast beef, breaded cod, chicken sandwiches, and a classic cheeseburger or a double bacon cheeseburger.

Appetizers keep things simple and approachable with fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, cheesesteak egg rolls, pretzels with cheese, quesadillas, nachos, fries, and chicken tenders. One standout item already getting attention is the tavern’s lightly breaded wings, available in flavors like hot, mild, BBQ, garlic, honey hot, and more.

Creekside Tavern is also launching weekly specials, including “Wing Wednesday,” featuring wings for just 75 cents each for dine-in customers, with a minimum order of five wings. There is also a Friday special for roast beef sandwiches with fries and pickles for $10.

The tavern’s pizza menu currently includes a simple but affordable 12-inch Park Pizza, topped with classic tomato sauce and a three-cheese blend, with optional add-ons like pepperoni, bacon, sausage, or pulled pork. Last, but not least, they’re offering brunch on Sunday from 11:00-1:00pm!

They are also planning to highlight local partnerships through rotating food and drink specials featuring ingredients from nearby businesses and farms. One early collaboration includes espresso martinis made with Endgrain coffee espresso, bringing a local craft coffee touch to the cocktail menu. The tavern also plans to introduce strawberry mojitos made with fresh strawberries sourced from Grasso Girls, adding a seasonal farm-to-glass element to the growing list of specialty drinks.
