One of Philadelphia’s most beloved fast-casual concepts is officially heading down the shore. Federal Donuts & Chicken will celebrate the grand opening of its new Atlantic City location on Friday, June 5, coinciding with National Donut Day, inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. The new eatery is located on the casino’s second floor near the Icon Lounge and will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Founded by acclaimed restaurateurs Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook, Federal Donuts has built a loyal following throughout the Philadelphia region with its combination of made-to-order donuts, crispy fried chicken, sandwiches, and coffee. The Atlantic City location marks a major expansion for the brand and brings one of the region’s most recognizable food concepts directly to the Boardwalk.
Guests can expect the menu favorites that helped make the brand famous, including hand-battered chicken tenders, the Original Chicken Sandwich topped with the restaurant’s signature Rooster Sauce, and a rotating selection of hot, fresh donuts available in both classic and specialty flavors. Coffee and breakfast offerings will also be available around the clock.
The opening is part of Hard Rock Atlantic City’s ongoing $50 million investment plan for 2026, which includes hotel renovations, new dining destinations, and enhancements throughout the property. Federal Donuts & Chicken was previously announced as one of the marquee additions coming to the resort this year.
With National Donut Day drawing donut lovers to shops across the country each year, the June 5 debut provides a fitting launch date for the popular brand’s first Atlantic City outpost. The annual celebration falls on the first Friday in June and is widely recognized as one of the busiest days of the year for donut shops nationwide.
Located at 1000 Boardwalk inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Federal Donuts & Chicken is expected to attract both casino visitors and local food fans looking for a taste of the Philadelphia favorite without making the trip across the bridge.
