We happily attended the Grand Reopening of @Francos Marlton at 65 E. Route 70. Now under new ownership and completely remodeled. The menu has a lot of Italian specialties and hand-tossed pizzas. Everything looked amazing. A slice of plain cheese pizza hit the spot! 🍕 Can’t wait to go back for dinner sometime. 🍝 #francosmarlton #marltonpizzeria #pizza #italian #southjerseyfoodscene

A new chapter is beginning for one of Marlton’s longest-running neighborhood pizzerias.

Franco’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, located at 65 East Route 70 in Marlton, has officially reopened under the ownership of the Cucco family, bringing decades of Italian restaurant experience, a fully renovated dining room, and a renewed commitment to serving the community while honoring the restaurant’s long history.

The restaurant is now owned by brothers Pietro Cucco and Nino Cucco, along with their father, Rino Cucco, a longtime restaurateur who has owned and operated pizzerias and Italian restaurants in New Jersey for many years. While the family has extensive experience in the restaurant business, Franco’s marks the brothers’ first venture in South Jersey.

Pietro has even relocated to Shamong to be closer to the restaurant, reflecting the family’s hands-on approach and commitment to the new Franco’s.

The Cucco family’s roots in New Jersey’s pizza scene run deep, stretching back nearly half a century. Rino Cucco and his brothers began their journey at Scotto’s Pizza in the former Echelon Mall in 1976. For the Cuccos, making pizza is more than a business—it’s a family tradition. Pietro honed his craft at renowned culinary schools in both Italy and America, infusing Franco’s menu with authentic techniques and international flair.

Since 1970, Franco’s has been a cherished part of the community, welcoming generations of families through its doors. Now, with a complete renovation, the Cuccos have breathed new life into the space, blending a modern touch with the cozy, familiar atmosphere locals love.

The inviting dining room sets the stage for an extensive menu of hand-tossed pizzas, cheesesteaks, pasta, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and timeless Italian favorites.

To celebrate the new beginning, Franco’s will host a Grand Reopening on Saturday, August 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The celebration will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the mayor at 12:00 p.m., complimentary plain pizza slices for all attendees, and an exciting raffle with prizes such as dinner for two (dine-in only), free pizza, and a free hot or cold sandwich.

For the Cucco family, the grand reopening is not just about unveiling a refreshed restaurant. It is the beginning of a new tradition in South Jersey, built on decades of family expertise, authentic Italian flavors, and a heartfelt spirit of neighborhood hospitality.
