It’s nice to see an exclusively gluten-free bakery in South Jersey. The question of gluten-free baked goods comes up often in the SJFS group. So, this will accommodate people who have Celiac disease and those who follow a gluten-sensitive diet.

A beloved local gluten-free brand is preparing for a major milestone.
GF Sweeties is opening its first brick-and-mortar bakery. The new shop will be located at 811 Haddon Avenue in Collingswood, next door to Revolution Coffee. The address previously housed Scissors N Suds. However, the space is now being transformed for a sweeter purpose.
Although an opening date has not been announced, anticipation is building. Paper signage on the windows reads, “Coming Soon.” Meanwhile, neighbors and fans of GF Sweeties have already begun buzzing. As a result, the announcement has sparked excitement across South Jersey, especially in the gluten-free community.
Michael Savett, a Cherry Hill resident who publishes the Gluten Free Philly blog, says that the bakery will be an asset to South Jersey’s celiac community. “It’s awesome to see Sachiko take her business to the next level and have a shop of her own.”
GF Sweeties has built a loyal following through online sales and pop-ups at South Jersey farmers’ markets. Over time, they earned trust within the Celiac community. In addition, its treats attracted customers beyond dietary restrictions. As a result, demand steadily increased.
The new bakery in Collingswood represents a natural next step. This marks a significant expansion for GF Sweeties, and the brick-and-mortar format also opens new possibilities. Customers will soon be able to visit in person. Custom orders could become more accessible. Likewise, walk-in treats will encourage spontaneous visits. Ultimately, the shop promises both convenience and quality.
Owner Sachiko Levinson is committed to being a 100% wheat free bakery, and the new location will be operated as a dedicated gluten-free facility. She began the business when her daughter was diagnosed with Celiac disease. GF Sweeties is also 100% peanut-free, vegan and dairy-free friendly. If you have a special dietary need, GF Sweeties can accommodate you!
“I am excited to bring a dedicated gluten-free bakery to Collingswood,” GF Sweeties owner Saichko Levinson told South Jersey Food Scene. “Construction is starting soon, so hopefully it won’t be too long.”
GF Sweeties currently operates out of the SoHa Arts Building at 1001 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township.
