A brand new gluten-free “pastry ATM” (or pastry vending machine) by Flakely GF of Manayunk will be available inside Haddon Culinary’s Collingswood location starting this Friday.
The pastry ATM is a freezer that can only be opened when a customer makes a purchase with a credit card. It will feature Flakely’s best-selling items, such as gluten-free croissants, bagels, baguettes, cakes, Danish, pop-tarts, and more.
The retail “smart freezers” contain four shelves with three slots per shelf, and hold about 60 items at a time. When the customer taps their credit card, the door will open. Once inside, the customer grabs what they want (each item is tagged with a microchip) and any product that leaves the freezer will be charged to the customer’s credit card. All items are frozen, and can either be thawed and served, or heated up at home for peak enjoyment.
Flakely is owned by pastry chef Lila Colello. The pastry ATM is the third of its kind. The first one opened in the Italian Market and the second one on the Main Line (Ardmore, PA).
“I am very excited to be able to offer our gluten-free products in South Jersey,” said Colello. “We’ve had many requests and we’re extremely happy that Haddon Culinary agreed to setting up the ATM at their Collingswood store.”

Haddon Culinary is located at 741 Haddon Avenue in Collingswood.
Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday-Sunday 8am-6pm.
