Happy's Water Ice Mantua

Happy’s Water Ice Returns in Mantua After Seven-Year Hiatus

A beloved local favorite is back. Happy’s Water Ice, located at 510 Bridgeton Pike, has reopened in 2025 after being closed for seven years. The family-owned frozen treat shop, run by the Granato family — mom, dad, son, and daughter — has been serving the community since 2000. That’s 25 years!

The closure in 2018 was due to family circumstances, but now the Granatos are scooping up smiles again. Known for their all-homemade water ice, Happy’s stands out by using raw cane sugar instead of processed white sugar, resulting in richer flavor and a healthier sweet treat. They skip the stabilizers used, opting for fresh, small-batch production instead.

Check their Instagram frequently for available water ice flavors.

In addition to their signature water ice, Happy’s Water Ice offers soft-serve ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, and more.

Happy’s Water Ice is open Thursday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. They’ll be open for the season until Halloween at the very least.
