Attention: Hot Pot and Korean BBQ fans in South Jersey!
Cherry Hill’s dining scene is heating up once again with the arrival of Hot Lava Pot AYCE Hot Pot & Korean BBQ, a new all-you-can-eat concept set to officially debut with a soft opening today. South Jersey Food Scene got the first look inside and at the menu.

Located at 2321 Route 70 West, Hot Lava Pot brings together two of the most popular group-dining concepts under one roof: Hot Pot and Korean BBQ.

The storefront previously housed Ten Hot Pot and, before that, the original Whole Hog Cafe. After sitting vacant since 2022, the location is finally coming back to life, this time with bubbling broths, sizzling grills, and a highly interactive dining experience.

Both styles center on cooking your own food right at the table, making it as much about the experience as the meal itself.

Guests can expect:
- Customizable hot pot broths with a variety of meats, seafood, noodles, and vegetables
- Tabletop Korean BBQ grills for cooking marinated meats to your liking
- An all-you-can-eat format, ideal for groups, families, and anyone looking to sample a little bit of everything

The revival of this Route 70 location is especially significant, as it has sat vacant for years. All-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ are highly requested locally, yet the area offers only a few restaurants. Hopefully Hot Lava Pot lasts longer than it predecessors.
Hot Lava Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot will be open daily. Sunday through Thursday 12PM to 10:30pm. Friday and Saturday 12PM to 11:30pm. Last seating is one hour before.
I didn’t have time to dine in today but plan to go back ASAP. Stay tuned for a video tour on the South Jersey Food Scene TikTok soon.
