Located less than 2 miles from the Deptford Mall, Kitchen 519 is a New American BYOB offering a scratch kitchen experience unlike any other.
Situated at 200 East Evesham Road in Glendora, Kitchen 519 is owned and operated by Chef John Stewart. He has over 20 years of experience as an Executive Chef and restaurant owner. It opened in 2014 to rave reviews and continues to impress guests with its seasonally-driven, locally sourced menu and bright, inviting art-lined space.

“Made with Love” is a tagline used on the website, which gets to the heart of his passion for running the restaurant.
Stewart explains, “We not only execute delicious meals, we want our guests to have an exceptional experience all around, from beginning to end.”
The restaurant is a family affair, with John’s son, Aidan, 17, now working at the business and learning the hospitality ropes.
In addition to its main menu, the restaurant features special menus throughout the week, such as Wednesday Night Prixe Fixe ($35/person) and Thursday’s Burger Night. Chef John’s “Craft BBQ” menu is always available with housemade barbecue sauces.
There is something for everyone to enjoy on the inventive menu, including options for vegetarians and vegans. Chef John can accommodate most special diets upon request.
The restaurant, which seats 50, is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday and offers brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Reservations are encouraged. Takeout is always available, too.
Kitchen 519 also provides off-site catering and party trays for holidays, office meetings, showers, weddings, etc.

Finally, Stewart is very active in the community, offering an annual wellness retreat every September in Pennsylvania called Anahata’s Purpose, which he runs with his partner Rachel. Chef John brings his restaurant and staff to the four-day event, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The event attracts hundreds yearly and features wellness-focused workshops, music, and outdoor activities.
