From Banking to Baking!
The visionary behind Kreamies Bakery is Joccola Thomas. She had worked as a Director of Business Development for a credit union for over 20 years, and always baked on the side. In fact, she started Kreamies while still working in the banking business. Her baking passion was calling her, though. So, when her job was phased out during the pandemic, she took that as an opportunity to pursue her dream of opening her own bake shop.
She officially opened the Bellmawr storefront in 2021 at the height of the COVID 19 pandemic. Talk about taking a gigantic leap of faith! But its all paid off. Now, three years later, Kreamies is not only surviving, but thriving. The in-demand bakery is often featured on “Best of” lists and in the media. Thomas is one smart cookie!
Kreamies frequently offers weekly specials so you can sample her delicious baked goods without breaking the bank. One such in-store special on Tuesdays (10am-6pm) features $2 cupcakes in all flavors. That’s a steal of a deal.
