Maggiano’s Little Italy just updated its family-style menu with bigger portions, more options, and a return to its roots, as reported by sister site Philly Grub.
Diners can expect 20% more pasta and protein, along with 15 new dishes, in a four-course, prix fixe family-style meal. It’s perfect for groups, great for sharing, and ideal if you love leftovers. Maggiano’s is all about giving you more food for your money.
SJFS happily accepted an invitation to experience it for ourselves. We have been customers for years and have visited the Cherry Hill Mall location for various family dinners, so it was nice to return. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.

The meal kicks off with both Maggiano’s House Salad and Chef’s Signature Caesar—yep, you get both. I’m usually not big on starter salads, but these were super fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. We even asked for real anchovies for the Caesar and extra blue cheese crumbles, and they happily made it happen.

We went with the Fried Mozzarella and Zucchini Fritte for our apps—both were winners. The mozzarella sticks were huge and paired perfectly with the marinara.

For mains, we tried the Chicken Piccata, Mom’s Lasagna, Beef Tenderloin Medallions, and Blackened Salmon with Crispy Calabrian Shrimp. Each dish was delicious and served in huge portions. It felt like a mini buffet with everyone getting to sample a bit of everything, and we still had plenty left to take home.

By the time dessert rolled around, we were already full, but who can say no when it’s included? The New York Style Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and Gigi’s Butter Cake are all totally worth saving room for. The butter cake being my personal favorite.

Bottom line: for $50 per person, you get all this food, unlimited bread, and the ability to make substitutions or request extras. Plus, you’re definitely leaving with leftovers. If you love value (and don’t mind bringing home tomorrow’s dinner), this deal is hard to beat.
Our server, Jose, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and clearly knows his stuff, even though he’s only been at the Cherry Hill location for a year. The whole team was welcoming, and the service was relaxed and never rushed.
If you’re looking for budget-friendly, family-style dining, be sure to check out Maggiano’s at the Cherry Hill Mall.
