Mochi Waffle Tiger Sugar Cherry Hill

Try the Mochi Waffles at Tiger Sugar

If you’re waiting patiently for the mochi donut places to open in South Jersey, you may be pleased to hear there is another mochi treat already in our area for you to experience! Let the mochi madness games begin!

You can enjoy Mochi waffles at Tiger Sugar in Cherry Hill. The boba/bubble tea shop opened seven months ago in the Saw Mill Village shopping center on Route 70 next to Han Dynasty.

In addition to an array of delicious bubble tea and fruit tea drinks, the boba tea shop in Cherry Hill recently began offering a special mochi waffle, its first food item, and available exclusively at this location. I searched for mochi waffles in our area, and I believe Mango Mango might offer them, too. I’m not 100% sure, so don’t quote me on that. I haven’t been there yet, but it’s on my list. Hopefully soon! Anyways…

What is a Mochi waffle, you ask? It’s a Belgian-style waffle made with rice flour, resulting in a crispy exterior and soft and chewy inside. Mochi waffles contain your average waffle batter recipe ingredients like baking powder, eggs, and milk. The only difference is that it uses special rice flour instead of regular flour. So, I believe they are gluten-free!

The waffles are all made to order, so expect about a 10- to 15-minute wait while they make it. That’s enough time to sip your beverage and play some of the games they have at the tables or lounge on the oversized comfy leather sectional couch in the middle of the shop!

The waffles get topped with whipped cream, and your choice of strawberries, bananas, mango, or Oreo cookie crumbles. Get a combo of all four as I did! YUM!

They are tasty and perfect for brunch or dessert or anytime! If you like waffles, I think you’ll enjoy these mochi waffles.

And you simply must try it with the new Strawberry mochi drink! Strawberry puree/syrup, fresh strawberries, fresh mango, mochi (a soft & sweet confection), sago, jelly bits, and fresh whole milk.

OMG, so strawberr-ily delicious! 🍓🍓🍓

This is a seasonal special milk tea, so get over there soon to try it before it’s gone!

Let me know if you try the mochi waffles or the strawberry mochi drink. The owner told me that even more new stuff is coming. I love his enthusiasm and desire to keep adding fun and tasty new things to the menu. However, I’d just be happy with a #4 every day. But I like new things, too. Anyways, stay tuned!
