As the leaves turn and the harvest season winds down, New Jersey’s wine community is raising a glass WITH YOU during a month-long statewide celebration. November is New Jersey Wine Month!
The initiative, spearheaded by the Garden State Wine Growers Association (GSWGA), expands on the long-standing tradition of a single week of recognition and moves toward a full 30-day tribute to the Garden State’s robust and growing wine culture.
From November 1 through November 30, wine lovers across the state will find a range of events, tastings, and promotional activities spotlighting New Jersey wine, wineries, and vineyards.
In announcing the expansion from a week to a whole month in 2024, New Jersey’s Secretary of Agriculture, Ed Wengryn, emphasized the timing: “As the fall harvest season begins to wrap up, it is a perfect time for people to get out and see our vineyards and explore our wineries.” He added that the shift is also ideal for adding locally produced wines to Thanksgiving and holiday meals and gifts.
New Jersey Wine Month Events & Activities
Among the key dates for the month:
- November 1: Official kickoff, as many of New Jersey’s 60+ wineries and vineyards launch special New Jersey Wine Month events.
- November 15: The second annual NJ Wine Expo at Bell Works Ballroom in Holmdel, featuring more than 30 wineries and 130+ hand-selected wines.
- November 29: The launch of the New Jersey Holiday Wine Trail Weekend, with special events at participating wineries statewide.
