Palms Coffee Club Returns to Moorestown Mall with a Stunning New Mid-Century Modern Lounge

Palms Coffee Club Lounge is officially reopening at Moorestown Mall on Saturday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m., unveiling a beautiful new home that was well worth the wait.

The locally owned coffee shop first opened at the mall in 2024 before temporarily closing last year to relocate into a much larger space. While construction took longer than expected, owner Tracie Benson has transformed a former clothing store near Boscov’s, directly across from Orangetheory Fitness, into one of the most unique coffee destinations in South Jersey.

Spanning more than 2,000 square feet, the new lounge embraces a vibrant mid-century modern aesthetic with colorful décor, cozy lounge seating, and an atmosphere designed to encourage guests to slow down and stay awhile. Plush sofas and upholstered chairs create a welcoming environment, while quirky MCM artwork, coffee-inspired décor, and pieces from local artists add personality throughout the space. Classic sitcoms from the 1950s and 1960s will even be shown on televisions, adding to the nostalgic vibe.

More than just a coffee shop, Palms Coffee Club Lounge aims to become a true community gathering place. The lounge includes comfortable meeting areas for friends, small groups, and casual gatherings, with plans to host regular events featuring local artists, authors, musicians, and other community members.

On the menu, guests can expect a full lineup of hot, iced, and frozen coffee beverages, specialty lattes, hot chocolate, matcha, chai, flavored teas, and more. The Lounge will serve small-batch roasted coffee beans produced to its own specifications, along with signature flavor combinations that set the shop apart.

Hungry visitors will find plenty of food options as well, including breakfast sandwiches, bagels, pastries, lunch sandwiches, fresh salads, and ice cream. Yes, there will be plant-based, dairy-free, and gluten-friendly options.

For Tracie, hospitality isn’t new. She previously owned the beloved Fitzwilly’s Ice Cream in Cherry Hill before its closure in 2018 and also brings experience from the food manufacturing industry. That background is evident in the thoughtful details that make Palms Coffee Club feel more like a neighborhood living room than a traditional coffee cafe.

The reopening also serves as another reminder that Moorestown Mall continues to evolve. Despite ongoing speculation about the future of shopping malls, locally owned businesses like Palms Coffee Club Lounge are helping breathe new life into the property. Alongside national retailers, the mall continues to attract independent businesses that offer experiences shoppers can’t find anywhere else.
