I have received confirmation of what has already been reported elsewhere *cough* 42 Freeway *cough*.
P.J. Whelihan’s IS opening at the old Joe’s Crab Shack in Deptford. ETA for opening is down below.
“We are so excited to confirm our plan to bring PJ Whelihan’s to Deptford Town Center. The location is a perfect fit for us, and promises to be a fun, go-to dining destination that will bring nearly 100 jobs to the community,” said Jessica Breslow, CEO, PJW Restaurant Group said.
This will be the 25th (?) full-time location and 6th full-time location in South Jersey. They have a few seasonal locations. This regional mega chain continues to expand even in tough economic times. All of the locations I pass on a frequent basis are normally packed. So, they’re absolutely doing well.

In anticipation of a mid-October opening, PJ Whelihan’s is hosting hiring fairs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday starting August 27, 2024 for all positions. Interested individuals can apply online in advance or attend open interviews held on-site from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
