The Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway NJ

Dinner at the Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway

An experience dining at the Seaview Hotel & Golf Club, a breathtaking luxury resort on 670 wooded acres in Galloway, should be a must on your South Jersey dining list. Legendary for its history, famous guests, and superior hospitality, the “Jewel of the Jersey Shore” is a spectacular place to get away and enjoy a respite from life’s responsibilities. Even if you do not play golf, you will find this a delightful spot to celebrate a special occasion or as a destination for a romantic or family-friendly vacation.

The grand Main Dining Room is situated to the left when you first enter the hotel’s main entrance and lobby. Be sure to arrive early for your dinner reservation to savor an expertly crafted pre-dinner cocktail, wine, or draft beer at the Lobby Bar & Lounge, located to the right of the lobby, as we did upon our recent visit. It offers an exceptional viewpoint to marvel at the Seaview’s grandeur and stunning decor. The property underwent a multi-million dollar renovation just a few years ago, resulting in a modern and contemporary update while preserving its original charm.

The bar and lounge area provides the perfect ambiance for a relaxed experience with premium drinks. We highly recommend trying The Rum Punch, a tropical libation made with dark rum, silver rum, banana liqueur, orange juice, and pineapple juice from the specialty cocktail menu. Alternatively, you can enjoy a classic cocktail of your choice, expertly mixed by the friendly bartender.

The Main Dining Room, with its oval shape, exudes a formal yet inviting ambiance. The plush carpeting, comfortable upholstered chairs, and subtle lighting create a cozy and intimate setting for a luxurious dining experience.

The room is drenched in natural light during daylight hours from the windows overlooking the Bay Golf Course, which we experienced the next day during Sunday Brunch.

If you’re seeking a more relaxed meal, visit The Grille Room, where the original brick walls and handmade terracotta floor tiles from 1914 are still intact, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.

The dinner menu, masterfully crafted by Chef Rodolfo Correa, showcases American cuisine with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients whenever available. Enjoy a variety of options, including starters and sharing plates, soups and salads, handhelds, entrees, and desserts.

We couldn’t resist ordering the Bavarian Pretzel with spicy mustard. Despite being offered bread, we made the right choice as it was generous in size and enough to be shared between two people.

I also enjoyed The Galloway Apple Martini during dinner. This exquisite and seasonally-inspired cocktail features Crown Royal Apple, cranberry juice, and apple juice.

We selected the Crab Cakes and Filet Mignon from the evening’s specials. Both dishes were delightful and perfectly portioned, leaving enough room for a decadent finale – a slice of divine Chocolate Mousse Cake that we shared.

In conclusion, our dining experience at The Seaview Hotel was exceptional. The service was impeccable, and the staff was friendly. We highly recommend The Seaview Hotel for dining in the vicinity of Atlantic City, especially if you’re seeking an alternative to AC.
