Smokin Rev and Lady Q’s Gourmet Barbeque is expanding with a second location, opening a pop-up at the former Back Alley BBQ on Haddonfield Road in Pennsauken. The new outpost will officially kick things off with a soft opening on Saturday, July 25 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
If you’ve been following SJFS closely, you’ll remember that we were the first to report that the property had been slated to become The Corner Seafood, but after the sale of the building fell through, those plans are no longer moving forward. Instead, the location is getting a delicious new BBQ chapter while the property remains on the market.
Owner Terrance Brown, who has built a loyal following through his regular setup in Willingboro and appearances on the South Jersey food truck circuit, saw an opportunity to bring his award-worthy barbecue to even more customers.
According to Brown, the Pennsauken location is expected to operate Wednesday through Sunday into the foreseseable future, staffing permitting.
For anyone who has followed Smokin Rev over the years, this is exciting news. Known for slow-smoked meats, generous portions, and Southern-inspired comfort food, Smokin Rev and Lady Q’s has become a favorite destination for barbecue lovers across the region. Whether you’re craving brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, or classic sides, the team has earned a reputation for serving barbecue that’s packed with flavor and made with care.
Now you can enjoy Smokin Rev and Lady Q’s Gourmet Barbeque with INDOOR SEATING at the Pennsauken location. Terrance said for years people begged them for a storefront with seating. Here it is, my barbeque loving friends!
Even better, Smokin Rev and Lady Q’s Gourmet Barbeque is part of the South Jersey Food Scene Frequent Diner Program! Don’t forget to show your Frequent Diner card and enjoy 10% off your order while supporting one of South Jersey’s outstanding local businesses.
It’s always exciting to see a local business grow, especially one that has spent years building its reputation one plate at a time. While the Pennsauken location may be temporary until further notice, let’s just be lucky they’re here and this corner can remain a barbeque destination for a little while longer.
And don’t be surprised if you see Dr. Ron Jones from Back Alley BBQ hanging around. They’ve been friends for years, as are most on the barbeque circuit. It’s nice that they can help each other out like this.
If you’re looking for some good eats, head over to 2591 Haddonfield Road and welcome Terrance and his team to Pennsauken, and treat yourself to some incredible barbecue.
Let’s give Smokin Rev and Lady Q’s Gourmet Barbeque a warm South Jersey Food Scene welcome.
