People's Pizza Cherry Hill

South Jersey Food Scene Hall of Fame Inductee: People’s Pizza Cherry Hill

Congratulations to People’s Pizza at 1500 Route 38 West in Cherry Hill (Camden County) for being inducted into the South Jersey Food Scene Hall of Fame.

People’s Pizza is an independent family-owned and operated Italian eatery serving the greater Cherry Hill area since 1974. This iconic pizza restaurant in Camden County has been around for almost 50 years! The landmark on Route 38 at Chapel Avenue is hard to miss with its mid-century modern architecture, bright neon signs, and vintage compact car permanently parked in front of the restaurant facing Route 38.

The menu features traditional pizza shop fare such as classic and specialty pizza, cheesesteaks, hoagies, salads, pasta and seafood dishes, and desserts. Online reviews rave about the food and the cleanliness of the restaurant inside. Longtime fans have remarked that it’s consistently a solid spot for casual dining. It does get busy sometimes, so there might be a wait, depending on when you go.

People’s Pizza deserves entry into the South Jersey Hall of Fame for its longevity and popularity as a pizzeria in Cherry Hill. Let’s help keep it around for another 50 years! Feel free to share your fondest memories in the comments.

Please note: this is a fun project that the editor of South Jersey Food Scene (who runs this site very part time) started in 2023 and will contribute to as time allows.

There are SO MANY deserving entries into the Hall of Fame and, knock on wood, we’ll get to all of them over time. Do not be offended if you don’t see a spot added yet. Give us time!
