Brunch at Steak 38 in Tabernacle

Did you know that Steak 38 in Tabernacle has added Sunday Brunch? They sure did!

The contemporary steakhouse located at 1488 Route 206, which opened a year and a half ago, has been doing brisk business in the former Tabernacle Inn building. The original location in Cherry Hill and this second location couldn’t be more different in terms of vibe, but the food and service are stellar.

Steak 38 Tabernacle has gotten high ratings on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and TripAdvisor. It seems to be a welcome addition to the Tabernacle area food scene.

Now, in addition to its esteemed steakhouse menu, they’ve added something new that the Cherry Hill location doesn’t offer — Sunday Brunch!

If you’re a brunch lover, don’t miss it. Reservations are encouraged, but are not necessary.

The menu offers classic breakfast-style brunch and lunch-focused items. There is something for any appetite, whether savory or sweet. You’re covered!

Upon our recent visit, we tried a brunch cocktail, two entrees, and a shareable side.

The Rise & Shine cocktail is AMAZING! It’s like a pina colada with a dash of orange goodness. You’ve got rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, orange juice, and an orange wedge. Perfect for a mid-day treat and pairs well with anything you choose on the menu.

I went for the Lobster Frittata because let’s be honest, who even thinks about having lobster for brunch? But something about it just screamed at me, “Go on, have the lobster for brunch!” 😉 It’s got a 5 oz. lobster tail chilling on top of an egg frittata, loaded with a blend of cheeses and herbs, all on a bed of diced potatoes with some toast points.

My other half chose the “Garden Skillet,” which was presented omelet-style with diced potatoes. This one is made with egg whites and scrumptious sauteed mushrooms, which is a healthier choice on the menu, if you’re looking for one!

We also chose the mini corn muffins as a brunch side. A perfect sweet, but not too sweet way to end our meal. I love how they sliced them in half and toasted them. Little details like that matter to me. I think it’s a nice touch. YMMV.

My only regret was not ordering the Bananas Foster French Toast, which is flambéed tableside! So you get a little a show with your meal. Fortunately, since others ordered it, I was still able to get a video of it. The server looked like she was having fun. I heard oohs and aahs about how good it was! We’ll just have to go back for that.

If you haven’t checked out Steak 38 in Tabernacle yet, by all means, do! Go for dinner and also don’t miss out on this Sunday brunch experience that runs from 10AM to 2PM.

I like what they’re doing both at the original Cherry Hill location and this new one. They’re both worth visiting for different vibes, but the same great food, service, and overall dining experience. Tell them South Jersey Food Scene sent you.
