Sunny's American Bistro Ocean Casino Resort

Sunny’s by Stephen Starr Opens at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City

As mentioned in the previous article about Chez Frites, Sunny’s—Stephen Starr’s second restaurant concept at Ocean Casino Resort—is now open!

According to a press release we received, “Sunny’s brings a bright and cozy twist to American breakfast and lunch classics. Perched eleven stories above the Atlantic Ocean, the coastal eatery offers bar and table seating with panoramic views and a menu featuring classic American favorites like Nutella French toast, pigs in a blanket, lobster rolls, and more elevated with bold, fresh flavors.”

Sunny’s is a perfectly charming spot to grab a hearty breakfast before you start your day at the resort or on the beach or a comforting lunch after walking the boardwalk or playing some slots. It’s absolutely family-friendly, too. Children are certainly welcome. They’ll love the pigs in a blanket! Click to see the full menu here.

For the adults, there are a variety of morning and afternoon cocktails as well as select wines. Click for full cocktail menu here.

The sun-drenched dining room (hence the name) complete with comfy seating has a retro feel; perhaps a slight wink to Starr’s early days of owning Stars, a cabaret at 2nd & Bainbridge (off South Street) in Philadelphia in the late 1970s.

Both Chez Frites and Sunny’s were a part of $50 million in property-wide capital investments, including Starr’s two new restaurants.

Sunny’s is located on the Casino Lobby level, directly left of the escalators. Walk-ups are welcome, but the dining room did fill up quickly upon our recent visit.

Hours:

  • Tuesday – Wednesday: Closed
  • Thursday – Monday: 8AM – 2PM
