A South Jersey cottage baker is taking a big step forward with the opening of her very own storefront in Downtown Mullica Hill.
Sweets by Abigail Grace is preparing to open its first brick-and-mortar location at 69 N. Main Street in Mullica Hill, with a soft opening planned for Sunday, September 13. A grand opening celebration is expected to follow.
Owner and baker Abigail Grace (or just “Abby”) Chambers has grown Sweets by Abigail Grace from a home-based cottage bakery into a business ready for its own retail space. The new Main Street shop will give customers a permanent place to find the sweets that helped build the brand’s following.
The bakery specializes in custom sugar cookies, whimsical cookie cakes, beautifully decorated cakes and other custom desserts, with creations for birthdays, weddings, showers, holidays and just about any occasion that calls for something sweet.
The location may already be familiar to local foodies. 69 N. Main Street was previously home to Gather to Graze, the charcuterie business that is relocating to Swedesboro.
The move from cottage baker to storefront is an exciting milestone for Sweets by Abigail Grace and adds another locally owned food business to Mullica Hill’s walkable Main Street district.
The soft opening is September 13, with additional details about the grand opening expected to be announced soon.
