One of South Jersey’s most recognizable landmark restaurants announced today it is for sale.
The Pub in Pennsauken is being offered for sale by its owners, presenting a rare opportunity to purchase the longtime restaurant, business and property. The sale is being handled privately and is not publicly listed.
According to information being shared with prospective buyers, the property includes approximately 6.3 acres, a 17,000-square-foot building, the restaurant business and its contents.
The Pub, located at 7600 Kaighns Avenue, has been a South Jersey dining landmark for generations, best known for its old-school steakhouse atmosphere, open charcoal hearth and massive dining room.
The property also offers flexibility for a future owner, who could continue operating The Pub or potentially pursue redevelopment.
Most importantly for longtime customers, The Pub remains open for business. Well, after it comes back from vacation. So, in summary, the restaurant is definitely for sale, but there has been no announcement that it is closing any time soon.
And as someone who has seen these things happen many times. Restaurant sales of this caliber do not happen overnight. So, don’t get too crazy about never being able to go again. There will be plenty of opportunities.
However, do make your reservations for when they reopen after vacation. Anything could happen. We’ll keep our eye on it. The Pub is, after all, an SJFS Hall of Fame restaurant.

SJFS is dedicated to food, dining, restaurants, and drinking in South Jersey. Got a news tip? Email southjerseyfoodscene@gmail.com.
