The Uncommon Pantry, now open at 162 Haddon Avenue, is a gourmet specialty shop founded by married couple Pat and Jesse Smith.
The shop marks a new chapter for the Smiths, who are best known for Patricia Ann’s Gourmet Delights in Woodstown. After more than a decade of selling high-quality culinary goods in Salem County, the couple has relocated and reimagined their concept, bringing what they describe as “attainable gourmet” to Haddon Township.
The Uncommon Pantry is a place where home cooks, entertainers, and gift shoppers alike can find thoughtfully curated items. Shelves are stocked with a carefully selected mix of culinary essentials and indulgent treats, including whole and ground coffee beans, premium spices, artisan chocolate, and other specialty goods.

“Our goal has always been to make gourmet food accessible,” the Smiths said in announcing the opening. “Whether you’re planning a dinner party, a date night at home, or looking for a unique gift, we want people to feel inspired and walk out with something special.”
The shop’s aesthetic is warm, inviting, and meticulously organized all designed to encourage browsing, discovery, and conversation.
With its walkable location along Haddon Avenue, The Uncommon Pantry fits naturally into the township’s reputation as a destination for dining and shopping.
The Uncommon Pantry is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
