Tina's Tacos Coming to Burlington/Florence

Tina’s Tacos of Philadelphia to open 2nd location in Florence/Burlington

Tina’s Tacos, a popular birria-style taco restaurant with a full bar in Fishtown, Philadelphia, will be opening a more spacious second location at 2043 Route 130 South in Florence, Burlington County.

Proprietors Darshak Pendem and Puja Gohil are converting the former Nook’s Pourhouse into a sports bar-like taqueria and margarita bar, with everything currently available at the Fishtown location. This location will also debut new “bar bites” items like burgers, wings, hot dogs, and more. Like the Fishtown location, this restaurant will also be 100% halal.

“We are opening the second location because we have been extremely successful at the first location,” Pendem and Gohil said about the expansion plans. “Tina’s Tacos has become a destination spot in Fishtown, and we have gotten a lot of positive attention and a large number of customers and supporters. We are at a point where our kitchen and dining room cannot fulfill the volume we are heading towards, especially with the summer around the corner.”

The new location will have a large full-service bar with 26 beer taps offering a large selection of domestic and local craft favorites, seasonal beers, and daily and weekly beer specials. Build-your-own Margaritas will allow customers to customize specialty Margaritas with various flavors, garnishes, and liquors. A full cocktail menu will also be available. They’re planning to roll out a brunch menu in the summer.

The restaurant will seat 150+ in four open dining rooms with close to 5,000 square feet of space to accommodate live music, comedy nights, trivia and bingo nights, DJ nights, and more. The restaurant will also offer a separate dining room for private parties and events for 15+ people.

Hoping for a big sports bar scene, 20 TVs will offer local and national sports broadcasting available all year round, including pay-per-view events.

“Our Fishtown location has been a blessing,” Pendem and Gohil explained. We have been through a journey full of lessons and triumphs. We kept our ears open and made sure we listened to the needs of our customers and gave them exactly what they wanted. Because of this, our customers have genuinely made Tina’s a success. We hope to open a few more locations on the east coast to make “Tina’s Tacos” a household name in the next few years.”

They’re hoping the new Tina’s Tacos will be open by the end of March, pending a liquor license transfer.
