UPDATE: Gouldsburger’s Sicklerville did not open on August 19th – a new date is coming!
David Murray’s brother Michael Murray will open the newest franchise for Haddonfield-based Gouldsburger’s in Sicklerville (Camden County) very soon. Keep reading for the date!
As I previously reported in April, Gouldsburger’s announced it was expanding its South Jersey footprint in Sicklerville at 685 Berlin-Cross Keys Road #9564, in the former Phoenix Wok space adjacent to The Breakfast Nook within the Crosskeys Shopping Plaza.
Michael, who is a graduate of the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, ran a restaurant called Duo in Haddonfield NJ with his brother David from 2005 to 2009. They were 50-50 partners.
After Duo, Michael went into the automotive industry where he worked his way up from salesman to finance director and eventually became General Manager of a dealership, which is where he worked until March of 2025.
After seeing his brother’s success with the rapidly growing Gouldsburger’s, he decided to open a franchise location of his own with the hopes of opening multiple locations down the road.
There are currently five locations of Gouldsburger’s – three in South Jersey (Haddonfield, Medford, and Bordentown) – and two in Philadelphia. An Ardmore franchise was also just announced.
When is Gouldsburger’s Sicklerville opening?
Gouldsburger’s in Sicklerville is targeting a Tuesday, August 19th opening day.
