Watch out matcha tea, Molly Tea is coming.
The growing floral milk tea brand is opening its first South Jersey location at 1400 Haddonfield Road, next to Sushi To Go, in the former Kung Fu Tea location. It’s in the same shopping center as the Korean-based, French bakery Tous les Jours.
Molly Tea is not just another bubble tea shop, it is a growing Chinese tea chain known for its jasmine teas, focusing on botanical flavors, premium milk, and a meticulous tea sourcing process.
According to its website, “Molly Tea redefines modern tea culture with its signature “Eastern Modern” aesthetic—where timeless tradition blends seamlessly with contemporary flair.”
In addition to milk teas, matcha teas are also offered. The chain is well-known for its signature Snowy Whipped Cream, which pairs teas with a tall swirling of rich whipped cream, mimicking a snowy mountain peak.
Various flavored iced teas and a fruity tea-based smoothie round out the menu.
The Shenzhen chain has locations all over the world. Molly Tea USA has brought an upscale Chinese tea shop experience to America.
Its website boasts more than 2,000 stores worldwide.
It appears that most USA locations are franchises, but I was unable to ascertain who the local franchisee is. I contacted the corporate office, and they have not provided an estimated opening date. With the window clings up, it’s hard to tell what’s going on inside, but I have been assured it’s still opening.
