Palmyra Luncheonette Now Open Serving Classic Comfort Food

Two seasoned South Jersey restaurateurs are breathing new life into a familiar Palmyra address. Tom and Lisa Tsamutalo, who owned and operated The New Maple Hill Restaurant in Maple Shade for 18 years before selling it in 2024, are opening Palmyra Luncheonette at 307 W. Broad Street in Palmyra, Burlington County.

The location has quite a bit of local history. Most recently, it was home to The Soup Bar, which closed a couple of months ago as its owner shifted focus to farmers’ markets and wholesale operations.

The space has also housed The Farmacy and, before that, the original Broad Street Luncheonette. The new concept brings the spot full circle, back to its classic neighborhood-diner roots, on the main drag in Palmyra.

The Tsamotalos are no strangers to the South Jersey dining scene. In addition to their 18-year run at The New Maple Hill Restaurant, Tom previously owned Tommy’s in Pennsauken, and his family operated the beloved LaStrada in Haddonfield years ago.

Palmyra Luncheonette will serve breakfast and lunch daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring many of the favorites fans loved at The New Maple Hill, presented in a more streamlined menu format.

Now open. Follow on Facebook for updates. In the meantime, here is a post from our first visit.
