Sara’s Produce, currently located at 679 Haddon Ave in Collingswood, is moving a block away to 641 Haddon Avenue at the end of August.
I stopped by today and spoke to Sara’s son, David, who was working at the Cozy Corner Market today. He informed me that the move will be happening in the coming weeks.
The new location will be much larger and more modern, allowing them to focus on a more abundant selection of fresh produce, seasonal products, and plants and flowers. At the same time, the current location will transition more into a convenience store/bodega.
A new pocket park will be opening in front of the new Sara’s, at the intersection of Haddon and Woodlawn Avenues. It will be a welcome community gathering spot.
According to the Borough:
Designed with community, creativity, and sustainability in mind, this new green space will be a welcoming “third place” for neighbors and visitors to gather, relax, and enjoy. From local art and native plants to bike racks and cozy seating, it’s a space built for and by the community.
Grooveground Coffee, adjacent to the park, which is temporarily closed, is currently undergoing renovations. Once that reopens, it’ll be hip little corner of an already hip town!
Sara’s has been in business for over 17 years, taking over the space previously occupied by Collingswood Cold Cuts.
You can also find Sara’s at the following local farmers’ markets: Haddonfield, Collingswood, and Haddon Heights. They’re also going to start vending at the Bridgeton Farmers Market on Sundays.
When they schedule the ribbon cutting, I’ll let you all know.
