Omega’s Restaurant in Merchantville to Open in April

After a long wait and much anticipation, Omega’s in Merchantville will finally open in April. The former McFarlan’s Market underwent quite the renovation from a grocery store and deli into a sit-down restaurant at 27 S. Centre Street in the Camden County community.

Chef Omega Ellis, who worked at McFarlan’s for many years, and Corrine’s in Camden, will bring her style of American comfort food with a Southern and Jamaican flair to the space that bears her name.

Check out some teaser photos below. I’ll have some better pictures soon.

“We are so excited to welcome guests at Omega’s in Merchantville,” Ellis said. “We think the community will LOVE what we offer here.”

The transformation from a food market to a restaurant is complete, with all inspections passed and ready to serve guests starting on Sunday, April 16th, when it will celebrate its grand opening for brunch service and regular service the week after. It will be open for lunch and dinner, Wednesday through Saturday (11 AM to 8 PM) and brunch on Sunday (11 AM to 4 PM). Closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The restaurant will seat 40 inside.

Omega’s recently started posting some of the dishes that will be served on Instagram. If this is any indication, we are in for a treat!

Can’t wait to try really soon!

Put Omega’s in Merchantville on your restaurant visit list, too.
