Roy Rogers Cherry Hill

Nostalgia is on the Menu as Roy Rogers marks Triumphant Return to Cherry Hill

The hunger for nostalgia is real, and in Cherry Hill, it comes with a side of holster fries.

Roy Rogers, the beloved fast food chain with roots in Americana and retro charm, has officially returned to South Jersey. Its brand-new location in Cherry Hill opened just over a week ago, and the response has been nothing short of astounding. From the moment the doors opened, crowds have flooded the restaurant, with lines of traffic stretching down Haddonfield Road as locals eagerly revisit a taste of their childhood.

For many, Roy Rogers isn’t just another fast food joint, it’s a memory. It’s family road trips, mall food courts, and that unmistakable Western theme. And it’s no surprise that the Double R Bar Burger—a juicy cheeseburger topped with sliced ham—has made a triumphant return to center stage. Fans are also flocking to the famous Fixins Bar, where fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and condiments allow guests to customize their meals just like they did decades ago.

The buzz has been electric. On social media, people are posting photos, tagging old friends, and sharing stories of their first Roy Rogers experience. It’s clear that this isn’t just about food; it’s about reconnecting with a piece of the past in a way that feels comforting and communal.

“Roy’s returning to South Jersey has been overwhelming,” Joe Briglia, Roy Rogers Director of Franchise Operations told South Jersey Food Scene. “It’s been rewarding to watch loyal fans reconnect with our “Holy Trinity” of proteins and, of course, the Fixin’s Bar! When the crush eases up, we’ll commence digital ordering, and start making Milkshakes to complete the dining experience. Also, a shout out to our new staff, we are blessed with smart, fun and kind associates who have worked non-stop these past two weeks.”

This new Cherry Hill outpost marks a significant step in the iconic brand’s effort to re-enter the South Jersey market. Once a staple across the region, Roy Rogers had mainly disappeared from the local landscape, leaving only fond memories behind. Now, with this enthusiastic comeback, the brand is signaling that it’s here to stay and the community couldn’t be happier.

Jason Guiliano said on the South Jersey Food Scene group, “I went twice loved everything we tried and we almost tried it all. Very thrilled it’s back!”

Jim Hasson opined, “Roy’s was a staple of my childhood. I spent many a birthday party there as part of the Buckeroo club. It was one of the first places my friends and I rode our bikes to, and we would buy fries and load up on that magical Fixin’s Bar. We didn’t even like those veggies but by golly, it was free!”

Whether you’re there for a fried chicken combo, a roast beef sandwich, or to pile your burger high at the Fixin’s Bar, one thing is clear: Roy Rogers is back, and South Jersey is welcoming it with open arms—and empty stomachs.

The crowds speak for themselves. Nostalgia isn’t just a trend, it’s a craving, and Roy Rogers is satisfying it! 🙂

Welcome back, Roy Rogers!
