A new spot for flavorful fried chicken and burgers has arrived on Route 130 with the opening of Tex’s Chicken & Burgers, the latest outpost of the rapidly expanding halal-focused fast-casual chain. The restaurant marks a notable addition to Delran’s dining scene and offers locals another tasty choice for quick, satisfying comfort food.
Tex’s Chicken & Burgers is part of the broader Tex’s Chicken & Burgers brand, which launched its first location in the Bronx in 2016 and has since grown to more than 50 locations along the U.S. East Coast.
The new Delran location, located at 4037 US-130 in the former Meadows Frozen Custard, adds a local destination for fans of cripsy fried chicken and tenders, hearty chicken sandwiches, juicy burgers, and other classic American comfort fare prepared with 100% certified halal ingredients. Tex’s emphasizes quality sourcing and preparation, partnering with distributors to ensure meats are fresh and free from antibiotics and growth hormones.
“Our mission has always been to serve delicious, affordable food that brings people together,” said a company representative. “We’re excited to offer the Delran community bold flavors and a welcoming space for all our guests.”
Tex’s menu typically features a variety of Southern-style comfort items — from signature fiery chicken sandwiches to classic cheeseburgers — often paired with sides like golden fries and buttery biscuits. Guests can also look forward to family meal options and seasonal offerings.
The addition of the Delran location bolsters the area’s Route 130 food corridor, where residents and visitors alike can now choose from a wider range of dining options, including fast-food favorites like Popeye’s and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, classic diners like Route 130 Diner, and many other globally inspired and local eateries.
