A new chapter is about to begin in Mays Landing.
What began in 1954 as Martha’s 50, a beloved gathering place known for cold drinks, hot cheesesteaks, and countless local memories, is coming full circle.
Now, the iconic property at 2301 Route 50 in Mays Landing is returning to the family with the arrival of 50 Sixx Craft Kitchen & Cocktails. The new venture is led by Frank Canale, nephew of original owner Pat Cornia and owner of Sha Swirl Cafe in Galloway, alongside Chef Chris Wild, whose more than three decades of experience in restaurants, catering, bars, and hospitality have helped shape an exciting new vision.
More than just another restaurant, 50 Sixx is being designed as a destination. Guests can expect elevated comfort food, chef-driven specialties, handcrafted cocktails, over-the-top pizzas, and legendary cheesesteaks featuring Pat & Bill’s original seasoning recipe. The concept will also offer on-site and off-site catering, package goods, live entertainment, and an atmosphere inspired by the music, energy, and spirit of the 1980s and 1990s.
The building itself will pay tribute to its rich history. Familiar touches, including the return of the original phone booth and a dedicated history wall, will celebrate the generations of customers and families who made Martha’s 50 a local institution.
While honoring the past, 50 Sixx Craft Kitchen & Cocktails is creating something entirely new for the future.
And for those who know Frank and his team from the popular Motley Que food truck, the same passion and flavor that made it a local favorite will be making the move to Mays Landing—only this time, on an even bigger scale.
Mays Landing, get ready. The next chapter is about to begin. Stay tuned here and on their Instagram for the opening date!
