Originally opened in Cherry Hill about a year ago (as I reported here), Birdies Hot Chicken has changed its name, possibly due to a cease-and-desist order since another establishment called Birdie’s exists in Austin, TX?
Either way, I noticed the new sign at the Cherry Hill location during my drive today and snapped a photo.
Additionally, there is a new location coming soon in Voorhees, as previously mentioned by A View from Evesham.
I called the Cherry Hill location (2442 Route 38) to confirm the details, and they stated the Voorhees location (200 White Horse Road) is expected to open in early October at the latest.
Hot chicken continues to be popular not just in our region, but around the country. At Chicksville, they have all the requisite fiery hot and mild chicken options, but also gyros, burgers, macaroni and cheese, and rice entrees all using halal meats.
So far, the URL for the website hasn’t been updated. And they’ve gone silent on social media. I can’t seem to find new profiles either.
