Recently, I posted about The Wok opening in the former Raku space on Route 70 in Cherry Hill. I posted specifically about that because at the time I knew more about the Chinese concept going into Cherry Hill Eatery.
Cherry Hill Eatery will be an Asian food hall of sorts. It will have three concepts under one roof. Chinese, hot pot, and bubble tea.
Today, I dropped by to get some exterior photos because I saw that they were up and figured there might be more news to report. I was half right. I got the photos and learned that the other two concepts are Mala Station (spicy hot pot) and Utepia Tea (bubble tea).
Fortunately, they were still doing work inside, and I ran into someone affiliated with the restaurant. I didn’t get his name, but he gave me the contact information of the owner. I have reached out to them to obtain more information, and I’m waiting to hear from them. While I was there, I was told that it won’t be long, definitely sometime in May. From the looks of things, that assessment appeared to be right.
Back to the concepts. For those always asking for hot pot, Mala Station will soon be another South Jersey hot pot option. I couldn’t find any specific information about that, but most hot pot is the same. It’s generally where you cook your own dish in a simmering pot of soup at the table using meats, vegetables, and other ingredients.
Utepia Tea appears to be an authentic Taiwanese bubble tea/milk tea chain that also serves desserts with at least one nearby location in New Brunswick, NJ.
Again, I’m waiting for more information about all the concepts and any other details. Once I have them, I will report back. But in the meantime, get ready for Cherry Hill Eatery, which will offer new Asian eats in the Cherry Hill area.
