A new cheesesteak shop is preparing to open at the Berlin Farmers Market.
Jawn Steaks, owned by Tasos, his wife Sandi, and her son Dakota, will officially debut with a soft opening on Wednesday, July 16, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The restaurant is located at 41 Clementon Road, Unit 100, next to the market office, and will operate four days a week per the Mart’s hours.
Tasos brings years of restaurant experience to the new venture. He grew up working in his family’s produce business in Greece, later owned a gyro shop there, and after moving to the United States, managed several pizza restaurants before deciding to focus on cheesesteaks.
Jawn Steaks will specialize in cheesesteaks made with 100% ribeye steak served on fresh 11-inch Liscio’s rolls delivered daily. Customers can choose from American, provolone, or Cooper Sharp cheese, along with traditional yellow Cheez Whiz or the restaurant’s signature white American Whiz sauce. The menu also features the house-made Jawn Sauce, a sweet sauce with a mild spicy kick.
In addition to cheesesteaks, the restaurant will serve jumbo breaded wings, fresh chicken sandwiches, chicken bites, loaded fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks.
The owners say they intentionally created a streamlined menu to ensure consistency and quality in every order.
Jawn Steaks will offer limited dine-in seating, a standing eating area, call-ahead pickup, and DoorDash delivery.
Inspired by their hometown of Philly, the eatery’s branding celebrates the city’s food culture, history, and sports teams.
