After three successful years serving customers in Marlton, Peppino’s Pizza & Trattoria is preparing to expand.
The popular family-owned Italian restaurant has announced plans to open a second location at 681 East Evesham Road in Runnemede, bringing its well-loved menu of pizza, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and Italian specialties to a new community.
The new restaurant will take over the former Beto’s Pizza space, a location that longtime residents may also remember as La Matta Pizza. While the building already has a history as a neighborhood pizzeria, customers can expect some changes before the doors officially open.
Owners Gia and Hank Mazzola will be putting their own touch on the restaurant—adding plenty of “Pep” while transforming the space into the familiar Peppino’s experience that has earned a loyal following in Marlton.
Since opening in Marlton three years ago, Peppino’s has built a reputation for serving quality Italian comfort food with friendly service. Their menu features hand-tossed pizzas, cheesesteaks and hot sandwiches, classic pasta dishes, chicken and seafood entrées, salads, appetizers, and plenty of family favorites.
The Runnemede location will offer the same conveniences customers expect, including dine-in service, takeout, and delivery, making it easy for local residents to enjoy Peppino’s whether they’re dining with family or grabbing dinner on the go.
No opening date has been announced yet, as the new restaurant was just announced. With renovations expected over the coming weeks, the Mazzolas are focused on creating the same welcoming atmosphere and quality dining experience that have made their Marlton location a success.
They are hoping for a September opening after sprucing it up. It will be a bigger space than in Marlton which will allow them to book private events.
