Marlton’s Cafe on the DL Opening New Location in Laurel Springs

Cafe on the DL, a beloved breakfast and lunch spot currently nestled at Five Greentree Centre in Marlton (Burlington County), is thrilled to announce its upcoming new location at the soon-to-be former home of Jalsa Indian Kitchen at 415 North White Horse Pike in Laurel Springs (Camden County). Jalsa is moving to a new location up the road. More about that soon!

This new location for Cafe on the DL promises more space, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in their food business journey. They will be able to serve even more delicious food to loyal fans and new customers. So, if you already love them in Marlton, you’re in for a treat at the new Laurel Springs location.

Founded by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo Dan and Lisa DiGiuseppe, Cafe on the DL has been a beacon of culinary delight since its inception in February 2022. Dan, a former Executive Chef at Hilton properties, bravely ventured into entrepreneurship, spurred on by his wife’s encouragement. He was very hesitant at first. However, his initial hesitation quickly turned into excitement for their new business. The Cafe’s popularity among office workers and the subsequent word-of-mouth buzz, fueled by the support of the local community, is a testament to their success and the community’s integral role in their journey.

They initially used social media to promote their business, frequently sharing food photos on local Facebook groups like the South Jersey Food Scene. As a result, they’ve become a favorite in the group, with many people expressing pride in discovering it and praising the delicious food. I mean, if you’ve been there, you know that it’s a bit of a maze to find it. I digress.

Situated in a four-story office building off Route 73 behind Mission BBQ, Cafe on the DL quickly gained recognition for its diverse and innovative breakfast and lunch menu. Fans across South Jersey gave enthusiastic reviews, which drew many more customers, often resulting in viral posts causing sell out days.

The decision to expand hinged on several key factors. First, the current space severely limited the ability to fully realize their culinary vision. Second, the lack of indoor dining significantly hindered their growth. Third, Dan’s passion for providing a more comprehensive range of dining experiences, including dinner, drove the decision to expand.

And by expand, they genuinely mean that. The good news is that the Marlton location is actually staying put! You heard that correctly, loyal fans. The current location will remain open, while Laurel Springs will be a second location with expanded options. Oh, happy days!

Chef Dan explains, “The current location will become more of a grab-and-go spot for our most popular breakfast and lunch items, with some twists and other things we are still working out.”

The new space in Laurel Springs will allow Cafe on the DL to provide indoor seating for lunch, introduce dinner, and eventually brunch on Sundays at some point after the initial opening.

No table service here, though. It will be a fast-casual setup, with customers ordering at the counter and taking the food to their table.

After some renovations, they hope to be open sometime in September! Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
